From download to battlefield
Unzip. Open. Play.
Keep the extracted game files together. Allow roughly 9 GB of free space for the ZIP and the extracted game.
On Windows
- Download the Windows ZIP.
- Right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder and run Ironhold.exe. Keep its data folder and other files beside it.
On Mac
- Download the Mac ZIP.
- Double-click it to extract the game.
- Open the extracted folder and launch Ironhold.app.
Rally your friends
Meet in the online lobby
Windows and Mac players can join the same game. No separate multiplayer account or port forwarding is needed.
- Host a kingdom. Open Multiplayer → Online → Host game. Wait for the lobby to open, then choose your map and bots.
- Join your friend. Open Multiplayer → Online on the other computer. Find the host’s game in the list and choose Join. The list refreshes automatically.
- March together. Ready up in the lobby, then have the host start the match. The host must stay in the game for the session to continue.
Playing on the same local network? You can also choose LAN. If a game is missing, check that both players use the same build and the host is still waiting in the lobby.
